Danilo Diazgranados Manglano recommends: 'Hellboy' unleashes apocalyptic trailer with monsters and blood aplenty

Image
Well, looks like some kind of apocalypse is here in the latest look at the forthcoming Hellboy film starring Stranger Things' David Harbour. Set to a cover of Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water," the trailer offers up a pretty hectic look at the Dark Horse Comics-based film, with more than a few monsters for our pal to take care of.  Plus, there's some kind of sexy blood shower, who knows? Directed by Neil Marshall and starring Harbour, Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Penelope Mitchell, and Daniel Dae Kim, the film sees our main dude Hellboy attempting to thwart a powerful fifth century sorceress (Jovovich) with plans to y'know, destroy humankind. Classic. Read more... More about Trailers , David Harbour , Hellboy , Entertainment , and Comic Culture View Source

Danilo Diazgranados Manglano recommends: 'Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution' is a CGI remake of the first Pokémon film

Image
You too may have fond memories of Pokémon: The First Movie , and because it is 2019, the beloved film is getting a remake. Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution , as it'll be called when it releases in Japanese cinemas on Jul. 7, is a CGI remake of the film, which dropped its first teaser on Friday. There is no release date for Western audiences just yet, so you'll have to hold tight. It's of course unrelated to the Ryan Reynolds-voiced Detective Pikachu , which is set for release on May 10. But it's good timing. Read more... More about Entertainment , Film , Movies , Pokemon , and Entertainment View Source

Danilo Diazgranados Manglano recommends: Was John Mulaney's neighbor a cannibal? Pete Davidson and Jimmy Fallon try to guess.

Image
Was John Mulaney's neighbor arrested by the FBI for cannibalism? Did Pete Davidson go to Jamaica with Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels over New Year's? See if you can guess what's real and made-up, as the two comedians joined Jimmy Fallon for a game of "True Confessions" on The Tonight Show Thursday night.  The game works by each person revealing a random story, to which the others must guess whether it's true or fake. But first, they must interrogate each other, and with these three, of course it's hilarious. Read more... Danilo Diazgranados Manglano recommends: Twitter looks to let you hide replies to your tweets

Image
Twitter has been hiding replies from what it deems to be suspect or troll accounts for a little while now. It's a neat feature to help filter out questionable replies (or that reply guy ), and now Twitter is looking to expand on it, essentially creating a way to moderate your replies. SEE ALSO: Dr. Bronner's is the only good brand on Twitter As posted by serial feature spotter Jane Manchun Wong , you'll soon be able to choose whether to hide replies to your tweets. This feature hides replies not just for yourself, but to other people viewing the conversation too. "Hide tweet" will be accessible in a menu, and it appears you'll be able to view all the tweets you've hidden too. Read more... Danilo Diazgranados Manglano recommends: Jimmy Fallon and Weezer cover 'Take on Me' with classroom instruments

Image
Ed Sheeran 's done it. So has Shawn Mendes , Metallica , and the Backstreet Boys . Now, Jimmy Fallon's handed the banana shakers to Weezer. For one of The Tonight Show 's most beloved recurring segments, Weezer joined Fallon and The Roots to perform a cover of A-ha's classic "Take on Me" using classroom instruments.  We're talking mini tambourines, wood blocks, kazoos — the works, all with that iconic animated overlay from A-ha's music video. And huge respect for frontman Rivers Cuomo in particular, who hits those impossible high notes. It's not the only fun performance we've seen from Weezer this week, with the group joining Fallon's barbershop quartet, The Ragtime Gals, for a rendition of their own classic track, "Buddy Holly." Danilo Diazgranados Manglano read: Why an Accounting Career Works for Women

Image
Brought to you by Coursesonline.co.uk: The number of women in the accounting field has exploded in the past few decades. In the 1990s, the participation of women in accounting was low, partly due to inflexible schedules and bias toward working mothers. Today, females make up 54.1 percent of the legal and accounting workforce in the United Kingdom. Attitudes have changed in society, and retention programs have successfully increased the number of women pursuing accounting as a... Read the whole entry...   »                         View Source

Danilo Diazgranados Manglano recommends: Tesla's 'Full Self-Driving' feature is back on Autopilot

Image
Tesla made a big announcement Thursday about a Tesla Model 3 electric car that starts at $35,000 , but other new options popped up on the Tesla website under the Autopilot section, like the semi-autonomous driving feature. Full self-driving mode was pulled as an option back in October, but now it's back as a rebranded "Navigate on Autopilot" package with "future features coming later this year." As of today, there are two Autopilot packages. The first is just called Autopilot and gives the car auto-steering and advanced cruise control. The basic version is $3,000 to include upfront.  Then there's the package option called "Full Self-Driving Capability." As Tesla CEO Elon Musk explained in a press call Thursday afternoon, it's "feature complete," but that doesn't mean you can use all those features. It still is the more advanced Navigate on Autopilot, which allows the car to drive mostly on its own (with you still at the wheel...

Danilo Diazgranados Manglano recommends: You can now brew your own dodgy illicit liquor in 'Fallout 76'

Image
Sure, you can ramble around Wild Appalachia scrounging in crates for old dusty beers in Fallout 76 , but what if you could brew your own? Bethesda has announced the arrival of a new brewing and distilling feature for the online multiplayer game, which for the first time ever allows you to craft your own booze. SEE ALSO: Playing 'Judgment' made me finally jump into 'Yakuza' games From March 12, as part of Bethesda's new roadmap additions , players will be able to become "the Wasteland’s premiere bartender" with the help of Appalachia’s biggest boozehound of a robot, Biv, who'll teach you to craft illicit Nukashine using the shiny new brewing station. Danilo Diazgranados Manglano recommends: TikTok just locked out a ton of users, and people can't take it

Image
When life gives you lemons, make sure to squeeze all that lemon juice straight into your eyes and then rage about it on Twitter. That seems to be the thinking of scores of TikTok users who, on Feb. 27, found themselves suddenly locked out of the looping video app following the company's FTC-inspired effort to temporarily suspend accounts belonging to people under the age of 13.  What no one appears to have first considered, however, is the fact that some now-exiled users entered fake birthdays when creating their accounts — meaning many of those suspended accounts belong to actual adults.  Or, if not adults , at least not kids.  Read more... Danilo Diazgranados Manglano recommends: Amazon kills physical Dash buttons

Image
Bad news, Amazon Prime addicts: the company is no longer selling its Dash buttons. As of today, the company will no longer sell the magical plastic buttons that let you summon refills of laundry detergent, paper towels, and Trojan condoms at will. The company will, however, continue to support existing buttons. SEE ALSO: Amazon patents delivery robot that docks at your house If you're bummed about that, it appears that Alexa may be largely to blame for Amazon's decision. In a statement, an Amazon spokesperson said "we've seen customers increasingly using programs like Alexa Shopping, which provides a hands free shopping experience, and Subscribe & Save, which lets customers automatically receive their favorite items every month.
